Announcing the unofficial results, the winner candidate of the PPP secured 16,156 votes.
District Returning Officer, Nadim Haider further said that Miftah Ismail of PML-N bagged 15,473 votes.
Besides, Amjad Afridi of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf got 8922 votes and stood at 5th position.
The turn out the votes polled remained 21.64 percent.
The seat fell vacant due to resignation of former Federal Minister Faisal Vawda of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
Meanwhile, those others contested included: Mustafa Kamal of Pak Sarzameen party and Mohammad Mursaleen of MQM Pakistan.
The voters majority elected Faisal Vawda in the election 2018 from NA-249.
However, situation had changed on the ground since then.
Now, PTI had lost its former allies such as MWM and other local groups.
The PPP rules Sindh province; therefore, they tried to take advantage of failure of PTI in keeping its promises to NA-249 voters.
Similarly, PMLN, PSP and MQM are also trying to do so.
However, MQM fought despite remaining a partner in the PTI-led ruling coalition at the Centre.
PTI had been trying to withdraw MQM, while their ally GDA had also fielded its candidate.
Sardar Rahim of PMLF-GDA had been seeking withdrawal of MQM and PTI.
Therefore, uncertainty shrouded the mood of the electorates this time due to deepened division within polity.
Finally, Mandokhel of PPP won the by election.
