People urged for Eid prayers in open spaces with COVID protocols.
The National Command and Operation Center has urged people to organize Eid prayers in open spaces with COVID protocols.
It made this appeal during the NCOC Session, held in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
Wearing of the mask mandatory during prayers
Planning Minister Asad Umar presided the meeting.
Furthermore, it reviewed the mobility control measures being implemented across Pakistan from 8th to 16th of this month.
The forum approved the guidelines for Eid ul Fitr prayers across the country.
According to guidelines, windows and doors of mosques should remain open for good ventilation if under compulsion to offer Eid prayers other than open spaces.
It also recommended two or three Eid prayers at one venue with staggered timings to minimize strength.
Moreover, it called for making efforts keep the sermon very brief in order to reduce the prayer timings exposure.
The guidelines call for discouraging sick, elderly and children under 15 years of age to attend prayers.
It further urged no gathering before and after prayers.
Besides, it called for displaying banners or pan flexes highlighting COVID protocols at prominent places at the venue as part of awareness campaign.
Meanwhile, it made wearing of the mask mandatory during prayers.
