World observes the day under the theme of “ecosystem restoration” and focus on resetting our relation with nature.

The day will be celebrated across the world through various events and activities, in line with latest Covid-19 regulations.

Led by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan remains fully committed to playing a leadership role in addressing the issue of climate change through various projects and initiatives.

Meanwhile, Pakistan urged the world to join hands to protect environment and reset relationship with Nature.

PM and naval chief messages

In a tweet on Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan further expressed the government’s full commitment to play a leadership role in restoration of the ecosystem.

The Prime Minister said our efforts have also been acknowledged globally.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi also spoke on environment.

He said Pakistan has been proactively focusing on measures to protect the environment to reduce destruction caused by a myriad of anthropogenic activities.

He stated this in his message on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Furthermore, he said there is no denying the fact that ‘Ecosystem Restoration’ is a global undertaking requiring response at a massive scale.

He said Pakistan Navy also celebrates World Environment Day to underscore the significance of environment.

Moreover, it undertakes numerous protection measures, focusing particularly on the marine environment.
