OIC unanimously adopted Pakistani resolution against Islamophobia, said Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

He expressed these views, while addressing “Ya Rasoolullah” conference in Rawalpindi.

OIC unanimously adopted Pakistani resolution against Islamophobia

On the special instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he attended a special session of the OIC along with 57 foreign ministers of the OIC member states.

Shah Mahmood further said that Pakistan moved a resolution against Islamophobia there.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has unanimously adopted that resolution.

Moreover, the FM expressed his deep grief over the tragic incident in Canada.

A truck driver crushed five members of an innocent Pakistani Muslim family.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office strongly condemned killing of the family of Pakistan origin in Canada.

In response to media queries, FO spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri shared stance of the government.

Pakistan sees it as the tragic incident and yet another manifestation of systematic rise in Islamophobia.

Chaudhri further said such incidents reinforced the imperative for the international community to work together for interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.

He said we strongly condemn the Islamophobic incident. That resulted in the tragic death of four family members of Pakistani origin, in London, Ontario.

Furthermore, the Spokesperson said our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
