SAPM on Health complains people not following SOPs in letter and spirit.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has urged the people to strictly follow the SOPs to control the spread of Covid-19.

He expressed these views, while talking to the media during his visit to various hospitals of Islamabad today (Monday).

Dr Faisal Sultan underlined providing the best medical facility to the people as the government’s foremost priority.

He further said that they are taking steps to provide facilities to the patients in various hospitals.

The SAPM said that vaccination against Coronavirus is continuing; therefore people should get them vaccinated.

Talking about the health facilities, he said that in order to avoid rush of patients another secondary care hospital is required in the capital.

Meanwhile, NCOC confirmed 914 new cases of Coronavirus infection during 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 44,496 tests conducted yesterday.

That brought to fore 914 positive cases.  The positivity ratio remained 2.05 per cent.

However, Coronavirus infection cases decline and situation of pandemic improves in the country.

Moreover, the NCOC also confirmed 20 more deaths during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to pandemic has reached 22,231 in the country.

On the other hand, Sindh Auqaf Department has notified reopening of the shrines in the province.

Earlier, it closed down shrines for devotees.

It had to notify closure due to an upsurge in coronavirus cases amid the third wave of the pandemic.
