Pakistan observes 22nd martyrdom anniversary of Havaldar Lalak Jan Nishan-e-Haider today (Wednesday).

Shaheed Lalak Jan was awarded the country’s highest award Nishan-e-Haider for the devotion and courage he showed in the Kargil war in 1999.

Meanwhile, the Director General ISPR, Major General Babar Iftikhar said the nation pays homage to Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed.

He lauded the martyr who laid his life while defending the motherland against high odds in most challenging battlefield environment during Kargil conflict.

In a tweet, he said Lalak Jan Shaheed’s fortitude and selflessness will keep inspiring the indomitable defenders of Pakistan for times to come.

Pakistanis have earlier observed martyrdom anniversary of Kargil War Hero Karnal Sher Khan.

Captain Karnal Sher Khan and Havaldar Lalak Jan became recipients of the highest military award Nishan-e-Haider.

By and large, people of Pakistan revere armed forces soldiers for safeguarding territorial integrity of the country.

Besides, Pakistanis remains closely attached with those martyred, while defending motherland Pakistan.

Particularly, Pakistanis show patriotism and love for the country on August 14, September 6 and other national days.
