Govt releasing Rs 2bn to further upgrade the cyber security system.

Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmad announced, while addressing a presser in Islamabad on Monday.

He said that this will help induct technical people for the cyber security.

He referred to an increase in cyber threats with about 100,000 complaints received in his tenure.

The Interior Minister further said they had also decided to introduce e-passports in the country.

Sheikh Rashid said that the ministry is forwarding a summary to the federal cabinet for approval.

It seeks to add fifteen more countries in the list whose citizens may get visas on arrival.

He said these countries include the United States, Canada, France and Iran.

Sheikh Rashid said FIA is working to expose those behind cancellation of the visit of New Zealand cricket team.

As regards political situation, the Interior Minister said the PML (N) will face further fissures in its ranks in the days ahead.

Moreover, he also replied to a question regarding the use of Electronic Voting Machines.

He hinted at sharing good news in this regard shortly. He noted it as the demand of the nation not government.
