Afghan govt to resume issuance of passports and national identity cards.

A senior official Alam Gul Haqqani stated this, while talking to reporters in Kabul.

He said that Afghan government has decided to resume issuance of national identification cards and passports.

Furthermore, he said the govt plans to issue 25,000 passports in the first phase.

Under the plan, they will issue about 6,000 passports each day.
