Pakistan military awards conferred on army officers and soldiers

Pakistan military awards conferred on army officers and soldiers today. Investiture Ceremony of Rawalpindi and Mangla Corps held at Army Auditorium in Rawalpindi.

Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended as chief guest on the occasion.

Awards of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Basalat conferred on Army officers and soldiers.

Twenty five martyred soldiers got Tamgha-i-Basalat. Next of kins of Shuhada received their awards posthumously.

Sixty seven officers awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 122 officers Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) for rendering meritorious services to the nation.

A large number of senior Army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said there is no cause more noble than laying one’s life for defence of motherland.

On the other hand, Peshawar and Lahore Corps also held investiture ceremonies today.

Sacrifices of our martyrs would not go waste

He said, while addressing at an investiture ceremony to confer military awards to Army personnel for their acts of valour and gallantry held at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

The army chief said that sacrifices of our martyrs would not go waste.

He conferred military awards on Army personnel for their acts of gallantry during operations and meritorious services rendered to the nation.

Moreover, the COAS paid rich tribute to martyrs and ghazis. He said we owe peace and stability of our country to the selfless devotion and sacrifices of these officers and soldiers who are our real heroes.

The COAS lauded brave families of Shuhada for supreme sacrifices they rendered for the country.

Around 47 officers awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz Military. However, six officers, seven Junior Commissioned Officers and 12 soldiers were awarded Tamgha-i-Basalat.
