General Elections will be held on time, not as per the demands of Imran Khan: Khawaja Asif

LONDON – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that elections will be held on time.

Talking to media in London, he said that politics on the appointment of the army chief by the opposition is unfortunate. “This topic should not be discussed. We are not running away from the elections. Elections should be held on a date as per the constitution.”

Khawaja Asif said that Nawaz Sharif is my leader and the asset of Pakistan. “It is difficult to find such a big asset in politics. Justice should be done to Nawaz Sharif. Don’t want to make any decision that will add to our problems.”
