Malaria claim ‘six’ lives in Mirpur Khas

MIRPUR KHAS – Six people died of malaria and gastroenteritis during 24 hours in Mirpur Khas.

An eight-year-old girl died of gastroenteritis in the flood victims’ tent in Qambar Shahdadkot. Two girls died due to gastroenteritis in Mirwah Gorchani area of Mirpur Khas. Thousands of people have been under siege for a month. There was a shortage of medicines including food.

Doctors are missing in government hospitals of Pano Aqil. Relatives of patients accused dispensers and inexperienced staff of giving wrong injections.

Moreover, two more people lost their lives due to dengue in Karachi. The number of people who died due to dengue this year has increased to 11. In Islamabad, death toll due to dengue fever increased to five. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 166 patients of dengue in one day. Victims increased to 4,704. Whereas, 152 people diagnosed with dengue in Punjab during 24 hours.
