Rana Sanaullah to take stand against ACE Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah took decision to approach the court against the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab. 

The statement came after the repeated attempts by Anti-Corruption Establishment to arrest Rana Sanaullah on charges of taking bribes for granting illegal approval to a housing scheme in Kallar Kahar, Punjab.

ACE Punjab ordered by Judicial Magistrate Rawalpindi to apprehend the interior minister and present him before the court.

The Interior Ministry spokesperson alleged that the ACE committed fraud in the records of a case that was registered four years ago.

The spokesperson further added that the issuance of Sanaullah’s arrest warrant was a ‘conspiracy’ against the federal government, and it had been decided to seek legal action against those responsible for ‘tampering with the case records and fraud’.
