Court grants 2-day physical remand of PTI Azam Khan Swati

ISLAMABAD: District and sessions court granted FIA two-day physical remand of PTI Senator Azam Khan Swati in funding case.

Federal Investigation Agency presented Senator PTI Azam Khan Swati before the district and sessions court and sought seven-day physical remand of the former minister.

However, Senior Civil Judge Shabbir Bhatti approved physical remand for two days and ordered FIA to presents the accused on the next hearing after his complete medical check-up.

The reason behind the arrest of Azam Swati was the connection with money laundering and foreign funding case.

Confirming the development, Babar Awan said that the government had arrested Azam Swati in the dark of the night.
