ECP postpones local bodies elections in Karachi

The local bodies elections in Karachi has been postponed for three months by Election Commission Pakistan (ECP)
Election Commission Pakistan postpones the LB ‘s elections in seven districts of Karachi which were scheduled to be held on October 23.
The decision was taken by ECP after Sindh government informed the body about the unavailability of the police force for security during polls due to floods.

The second phase of the LB ‘s polls have been postponed due to the lack of availability of security personnel, the ECP explained. “voter security is a top priority.”
