Fazal is concerned for safe elections in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P)
Amid terrorism incidents rising in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), expressed concerns about the feasibility of holding elections.
The JUI-F chief reiterated his party’s readiness for elections but stressed the importance of creating a favourable electoral environment. He argued that Pakistan’s security situation shouldn’t be limited to Lahore alone, suggesting that similar favourable conditions should be established in other provinces for a peaceful electoral process.
Maulana said that the individuals previously loyal to the PTI had been coerced into joining PTI, with some openly admitting to being compelled to join the former ruling party, adding that the PTI is like a balloon without air.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman alleged that the PTI lacked organic people’s support, alleging that it was installed and had lost momentum.
Fazlur Rehman said the country’s leader will be chosen based on the will of the people, and they will determine the fate of the nation. The JUI-F leader beieves there is a dire need to develop social connection with the masses.
The JUI-F leader pledged to sustain their alliance with the PML-N based on shared principles. The JUI -F , PML-N Election alliance has been formed, therefore both parties to cooperate eachother in K-P and Punjab respectively. The JUI-F to make seat adjustments and maintain relations with N league, Fazl added.
