When Pakistan will celebrate Eid-al-Adha?

The moon of Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah 1445 was not sighted in Pakistan on Thursday, as the second last month of the Islamic calendar will start today (Friday, May 10).

If the month of Dhu l-Qa’dah is of 29 days, then the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH will start on June 8, thus Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Monday, June 17.

If the month of Dhu l-Qa’dah is 30 days, then the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH will start on June 9, thus Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, the final announcement will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

On the other hand, astronomers have expressed the possibility of Eid-ul-Adha in Arab countries on June 16.

Head of National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt, Dr. Taha Rabah said that the month of Dhu’l-Qa’dah in the current hijri year 1445 will begin astronomically from Next Thursday, May 9. The days of Dhu’l-Qa’dah will be 29.

According to Arab TV, he said in his statement that the moon of the month of Dhu l-Qa’dah will be born on Wednesday, May 8, 29 Shawwal, at 5:23 am local time in Cairo.

He explained that on that day, the new crescent in Makkah and Cairo for 31 minutes after sunset.
