Munam Zafar elected as Ameer of JI’s Karachi chapter

The Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has elected Munam Zafar as Ameer of its Karachi chapter here today.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman had appointed Munam Zafar as interim chief of the party’s city chapter.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman following consultation with Sindh Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mehanti had appointed Munam Zafar as Karachi chief. Zafar had contested in the recent general elections as JI candidate from NA-247.
Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami is holding nationwide protests today aginst Israeli aggression in Palestine. In this connection, rallies will be held in all cities against Israeli brutality in Rafah, says the party’s spokesperson Qaiser Sharif.
He added that there will be protests in many places in Karachi to express solidarity with the Palestinians.
