Video: Villagers kill rare leopard in Balochistan

DERA BUGTI: Armed villagers killed a rare leopard near Sui area of Balochistanβs Dera Bugti district on Monday.
The villagers, who encountered the leopard near their village, chased it down to its den where they ultimately killed it.
The villagers then dragged the leopardβs body out of the den and filmed the scene. They claimed that the leopard was a threat to their livestock, particularly goats.
The act has sparked outrage on social media, with many expressing grief over the killing of this endangered species.
The district administration has yet to take any action over the leopards killing.
In a similar incident reported in April, another Persian leopard was spotted in the Hingol National Park along the Balochistan coast by a pilgrim at the Nani Mandir in Hinglaj, Lasbela district.
