When Punjab going to star distributing free solar panels?

The Government of Punjab has announced to start free solar panels distribution next month.
The plan was unveiled last week by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to provide relief to the residents in this inflation.
The first batch will be distributed on August 14 to the residents who consumed under 200 units electricity.
“My mission is to give relief to the people,” stated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. “There are difficult situations but we are with the people and will remain so.”
For households consuming between 201 and 500 units per month, solar panels will be available at a subsidized rate.
They need to play only 10 percent of the total cost, while the rest of the cost will be covered by the provincial government. The solar panels will be supplied through local banks.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the economic benefits of the initiative, stating, “The supply of solar panels will reduce the electricity bill by 40%.”
