Will it rain in Karachi today?

The weather in Karachi is likely to remain hot and humid during the next 24 hours as sea breeze is suspended in the city.

Meteorological analyst Jawad Memon said that the temperature in the city is 46 degrees Celsius and in the afternoon thunder clouds may form in the vicinity of Karachi.

He added there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the city with thundershowers while the sea breeze will resume from the evening.

The meteorological analyst further said that there is a possibility of some improvement in the weather from tomorrow. From July 24, there is a possibility of hot and humid weather again in the city. Another monsoon spell formed in the Bay of Bengal will affect Sindh from July 24 to 28.

Jawad Memon said that if this system comes in Indian Gujarat, then there will be a possibility of rain in Karachi and during which the sea winds may be affected once again.

Yesterday,  a few areas in city received heavy rain while others light showers that brought relief to the Karachiites.

Rain was recorded in the various areas including Malir, Airport, Sohrab Goth, Safora Chowrangi, Gulshan Iqbal, University Road and Gulistan Johar, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Sarjani Town and FB area.

The Meteorological Department said that the rain clouds may spread in the western and central districts.
