Ex-Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad announces to launch new party
Former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad is all set to launch a new party days. Recently, he confirmed that he would be reentering the political realm following a years-long hiatus.
Dr Ibad has been staying in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since relinquishing his office of Sindh governor in 2016.
Dr Ibad, who served as the governor for 14 years, further said that the incumbent government has less time.
Earlier, BMI, a Fitch Solutions company, has also forecast that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition government may prove a house of cards in the next 18 months amid economic uncertainties.
The former governor added that political and economic instability have reached dangerous levels. Ibad also said the security situation was also deteriorating.
He said that we need strict accountability against corruption to ensure economic prosperity.
The former governor said that if governance fails, the situation can move towards any direction. Pakistan needs strict accountability at this time. Not only the corrupt elements, but also those who come down on merit should be held accountable,” Dr Ibad concluded.
