Watch: Rana Sanaullah enjoys boat ride in Paris

A video featuring Rana Sanaullah, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs, enjoying a boat ride with his wife in Paris has sparked controversy on social media.

The clip, which surfaced on TikTok, shows Sanaullah’s leisurely activity during his official visit to attend the 11th Commonwealth Sports Ministers Conference and the Paris Olympics.

Critics, including political opponents, have lambasted the senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader for allegedly misusing taxpayer funds for a “family vacation” in Paris.

Rana Sanaullah, also serving as Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, had traveled to France last month to attend the opening ceremony of the international multi-sports event alongside Pakistani athletes.

In addition to attending the Commonwealth sports ministers’ meeting on July 24-25, Sanaullah participated in the “Change The Game” Ministerial Forum at UNESCO. The discussion focused on leveraging quality physical education and sport for sustainable social legacies, as reported by state broadcaster PTV.
