PMD issues fresh rain alert for Karachi

After persistent rains last week, the Pakistan Metrological Department has issued a fresh rain spell for Karachi and coastal region of Sindh.
The monsoon currents spell from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal is penetrating the upper parts of Pakistan, it said in the alert.
It said that weather would remain cloudy in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh with sporadic light showers.
Conversely, other parts of the province are likely to experience hot and humid conditions, the Met office added.
For Thursday, Karachi’s maximum temperature is forecasted to range between 33-35°C, with a slight increase to 34-36°C on Friday.
