Arshad Nadeem gets new car with Olympic record ‘PAK 92.97’ number plate

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday visited Olympian champion Arshad Nadeem’s village in Mian Channu to congratulate him on his historic victory.
During the visit, Maryam Nawaz congratulated Arshad Nadeem’s mother, Razia Parveen.
She also presented Arshad Nadeem with a cheque for Rs100 million and gifted him a car in recognition of his achievements.
He was also gifted with a special number plate PAK 92.97 for the vehicle referring to his record 92.97 metre throw at the Olympics.
Additionally, she awarded Rs5 million to his javelin throw coach, Salman Iqbal Butt.
The chief minister was accompanied by Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Sports Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, and other officials during the visit.
Following the remarkable feat, Arshad was showered with announcements of cash prizes and rewards from politicians and celebrities.
President Asif Ali Zardari also announced to honour the national star with the second-highest civilian award Hilal-e-Imtiaz, for his outstanding performance at Olympics.
