PTI gets major leadership boost
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has received a major leadership boost as Member National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat returned to the part.
He made the formal announcement outside the Adiala Jail after meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan.
Marwat said that he met Imran Khan after three months at the jail where the PTI founder warmly welcomed him and discussed various issues.
The MNA said that he had been given task to organize a public gathering on August 22.
Party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was witness to Khan’s direction about the power show.
He expressed his gratitude to Khan and announced that he was ending his differences with the party and also apologized for the remarks he made against party leaders in the past.
Marwat assured that he would now work to organize peaceful public gatherings without resorting to violent protests.
Earlier, his membership was revoked on the directions of the former Prime Minister.
The PTI leadership was at odds over suspending the basic-party membership of the MNA.
“The notification regarding the cancellation of Sher Afzal Marwat’s membership is fake. It’s not possible,” he said in response to the notification.
