Pakistan successfully conducts test of Shaheen-II missile

Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a test launch of its Shaheen-II surface-to-surface ballistic missile, the military’s media-wing said.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the training launch was aimed at training of troops, validating various technical parameters and performance evaluation of different sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.
It said that senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists, and engineers from strategic organizations observed the test.
The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division commended the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of the scientists, whose efforts made this historic success possible.
Moreover, President Arsif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test.
