Stranded Pakistani pilgrims in Iraq reach Karachi
About 375 stranded Pakistani pilgrims reached Karachi via special flight from Baghdad on Saturday.
According to reports, as many as 654 pilgrims stranded were stranded at Baghdad airport for two days due to technical problems in two Iraq Airways planes.
The remaining pilgrims are expected to reach Karachi after 3 pm today.
The first flight carrying 375 pilgrims left for Karachi late at night to bring back the pilgrims from Baghdad.
Member National Assembly Hameed Hussain met Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri and drew attention to the issue, on which the Governor contacted the Iraqi Ambassador.
