Mobile, internet services to remain suspended on Sunday
Mobile and internet services will be suspended around examination centers in Punjab and Peshawar during the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) test.
As per the directives of the Interior Ministry and provincial authorities, the Punjab government has instructed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to halt mobile and internet services within a 500-meter radius of 26 examination centers.
The PTA has been provided with the coordinates of these centers in Punjab for the service suspension.
These centers are spread across 12 districts, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujrat, and Rahim Yar Khan. The entrance exam for medical colleges in Punjab is scheduled for Sunday, September 22.
Moreover, the Punjab government has enforced Section 144 in 12 cities ahead of the MDCAT exam. This measure is intended to ensure a secure environment and prevent cheating during the test.
As per the official notification, only candidates and exam staff will be allowed inside the centers.
