Section 144: Public gatherings, protests banned in Karachi for 5 days

 The commissioner has slapped a ban on sit-ins, protests, rallies and public gatherings in Karachi under the Section 144 for a period of five days citing security issues

In this connection, a notification has been issued by the Karachi commissioner’s office. The notification bans demonstrations and assembly of more than five persons across the metropolis at the advice of additional inspector general (AIG) Karachi.
