Four terrorists killed in South Waziristan IBO: ISPR
Eight terrorists killed during IBO in North Waziristan
In an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted on Saturday, security forces killed four terrorists in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The operation took place in the Sarwakai area, where the presence of militants, referred to as “khwarij,” had been reported.
According to a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces effectively engaged the militants’ location, resulting in the deaths of the four individuals.
The ISPR emphasized that a follow-up sanitization operation was initiated to eliminate any remaining threats in the area, reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to combatting terrorism in the country.
This operation follows a recent incident in Bannu District, where three Pakistani Army personnel, including a major, were killed, and eight terrorists were neutralized during an IBO.
That operation also targeted a reported presence of militants in the Bakka Khel area of Bannu.
The military’s ongoing operations are part of a broader strategy to enhance security and address the threat posed by militant groups in the region.
