Imran Khan calls workers, supporters to march on Islamabad on Nov 24
Finally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has called on the party leaders, workers and supporters to march on Islamabad on November 24.
This has been conveyed by the former prime minister’s lawyer and sister to the media today.
Speaking to reporters in Rawalpindi, Faisal Chaudhry quoting Imran Khan said this is the final call for [anti-government] protest. The former prime minister has stressed that the party’s entire leadership will be part of the march, he added.
Chaudhry further said that the protest will not only take place in the capital, but throughout the world including Pakistan.
He added the PTI founder had also constituted a committee for the march and asked not to reveal their names as he fears they’ll be arrested.
Chaudhry said that all party leaders are aware of their responsibilities. He added the committee would have the powers to call off the protest.
The PTI founder’s lawyer further said that KP CM Gandpur would also lead a convoy from the province.
He while detailing the demands of the protest said that the PTI demands the withdrawal of the contentious 26th Constitutional Amendment, return of party’s mandate and immediate release of workers who are in jails without trials.
