Imran Khan responds to reports of Bushra Bibi’s entry into politics

PTI founder Imran Khan has reacted to the news about his wife Bushra Bibi’s entry into politics.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail today, Advocate Faisal Chaudhry quoted the former prime minister as saying the NAB chairman and inquiry officer should resign after the National Accountability Bureau’s statement.

He said that the PTI founder was tried in a fake case and we would not accept if the reference was remanded back. They used to claim that democracy is under threat, but, infact it does not exist in the country, he added.

He said that a political committee has been tasked to unite the opposition parties.

To a question about Bushra Bibi’s entry into politics, Faisal Chaudhry quoting PTI founder said that neither she is taking part in politics not she will do so in future. The message of PTI founder was conveyed to the party leaders through Bushra Bibi. PTI founder is not allowed to meet party leaders and during these circumstances a message must be sent through someone.

PTI leader Ali Muhammad said that the high court had dismissed the Toshakhana case yesterday. NAB counsel had admitted the PTI founder was deprived of the right to defend himself.

He said that the NAB lawyer had admitted defence lawyers were not allowed to cross examine the official witness.

The PTI leader expressed the hope that 190 million pound case will also be dismissed by the court.
