Punjab University Lahore postpones exams
The Punjab University has postponed all exams for its students due to the worsening smog conditions in the Lahore.
The University official said that a new schedule for the postponed exams will be announced later.
Moreover, he said that all teachers of all the colleges of the university have been instructed to shift to online classes during the smog season.
In view of the worsening smog crisis in the province, the government of Punjab has also announced a series of immediate emergency measures, including the declaration of a health emergency in Lahore and Multan.
These majors include: ban of dining in after 4 PM, all brick kilns and furnace-based plants both cities have been shut down from Friday, a complete ban on heavy traffic, A complete lockdown on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if the situation does not improve by Wednesday.
Moreover, Holidays in schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab have been extended to Nov 24, Construction activities in the cities have been banned from Friday and Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff holidays have been cancelled, and hospital OPDs will now operate until 8pm.
