PM Shehbaz chairs National Action Plan’s apex committee meeting
The meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Action Plan under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is going on in which the overall situation of law and order is being reviewed in detail.
The meeting is attended by senior military and civil leadership and relevant federal ministers, including provincial chief ministers and heads of intelligence agencies. Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan are also present in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of the National Action Plan for Anti-Terrorism. Improvement of coordination between provinces and federation and effective sharing of intelligence information was also considered.
The causes of increasing incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were also examined. The meeting also approved important decisions to ensure internal security.
According to sources, Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur also discussed the November 24 protest in the Apex Committee.
It should be noted that the meeting of the Apex Committee was to be held on Monday but it was rescheduled due to the unwellness of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
