Bajwa calls Bushra Bibi’s claim about Saudi Arabia as ‘100 per cent lie’

Former Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, while reacting to the video statement of Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, said that the former first lady’s statement regarding a friendly country is 100 per cent false.

The former army chief while speaking exclusively to a local TV called Bushra Bibi’s statement 100 per false.

He said that how can a country do such a thing, especially with whom we have such friendship. During Bushra Bibi’s visit, the doors of Kaaba and Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) were opened for her and given numerous gifts.

Gen Bajwa further said that Bushra Bibi then went to Saudi Arabia for her daughter’s marriage, in 2021, Imran and Bushra Bibi went to Saudi Arabia again and I was also with them.

He said that how can any country talk about the implementation of Shariah, Saudi Arabia has rolled over billions of dollars to them, what is the problem of this woman, it is a big mystery for me too. I think Imran Khan will also say tomorrow that this is true to make his narrative.

The former COAS said that he is concerned, a retired soldier has nothing to defence as civilians talk about anything. It seems that Bushra Bibi has started talking about Sharia to bring people together.

He said that his relations with Saudi Arabia never deteriorated, only once was Saudi Arabia disturbed by a statement of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

In this regard, he said that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference was held in Islamabad on March 21, 2022, if Saudi Arabia was angry with him, he would not have allowed the OIC conference to be held here.

The former army chief said that on the second visit, Mohammad bin Salman himself came to Jeddah to receive Imran Khan, how the relations deteriorated. Shah Mahmood Qureshi and I were also present in the dinner that was held at night.He

He said that how is it possible that the relations are bad and the Saudi Crown Prince comes to receive them.
