BIEK announces results for 2024 intermediate exams
The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced the results for the Intermediate Part II (Class XII) Commerce Regular Group annual examinations for 2024, revealing an overall success rate of 35.96%.
According to Prof Amir Hussain Qadri, Chairman of BIEK, private colleges dominated the top three positions, with no government colleges securing a place among the highest achievers. Muhammad Sami of Tabani’s College claimed the top spot with 983 marks (89.36%), followed by Rabia Imran Chapra from Commecs College in second place with 975 marks (88.63%).
Jaweria Taj from Bahria College Karsaz secured third place with 970 marks (88.18%). All three students received an A1 grade.
Examinations Director Zarina Rashid reported that 34,451 candidates had registered for the exams, with 33,610 appearing for the tests. Out of those, 12,087 candidates were declared successful.
The grade distribution among the successful candidates is as follows:
- A1 Grade: 169 candidates
- A Grade: 1,123 candidates
- B Grade: 2,306 candidates
- C Grade: 4,450 candidates
- D Grade: 3,760 candidates
- E Grade: 279 candidates
