ATC grants bail to Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat
The Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi granted bail to PTI leader Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat and ordered their release.
The PTI leaders who were arrested outside the Adiala Jail yesterday were produced in the Anti-Terrorism Court today. The arrested five leaders including Omar Ayub Khan, Raja Basharat and Nasir Chatta were produced in the court of ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah.
Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat’s lawyer Babar Awan appeared in the court and gave their arguments on the post-arrest petition.
The court approved the bail of five PTI leaders including Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat after their arrest.
The court ordered the release of Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat.
Later, Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat were released after the completion of the court proceedings.
The court issued contempt of court notices to five officers including SP Saddar Rawalpindi Nabil Khokhar.
Yesterday, despite court orders, Omar Ayub and others were not produced in court by the police officers.
Apart from this, the ATC court also issued orders not to arrest any accused within the prison limits on the occasion of the hearing in Adiala Jail.
