If decision taken on Islamabad March then no one can stop us, warns Fazl
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has warned that if a decision is taken about the Islamabad March on December 17 then no one will be able to stop our way.
He said that on the issue of registration of madrasas a meeting of Ittehad-ul-Madaris will be called to give an agreed plan of action.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman, in his address at the “Down With Israel Conference” in Peshawar, said that they are standing by the side of the Palestinians. The world is the killer of humanity, we have given awareness to humanity in this region.
He further said that why the rulers do not have the courage to stand firm with the Palestinians? We are fighting for the protection and stability of Pakistan, if Pakistan is a state then it is based on the people. We are a small parliamentary force in the parliament but our parliamentary force has been made small.
Fazl said that first the 26th constitutional amendment was hidden from us, the draft of the religious seminary bill was prepared by the government, when the bill came to the assembly, some forces stopped it. They thought that the clerics would get tired. We had an agreement with Bilawal Bhutto in Karachi on the bill. We also discussed the bill with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PTI parliamentarians also said that they have no objection.
The JUI-F chief further said the bill was passed with the consent of the government allies, but you (president) did not sign the bill. Meetings were held at my house for a month, in a 5 hour meeting with Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal, a consensus was reached on the bill. In the Senate, everyone including Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N voted for the bill under the supervision of Zardari. If both houses voted in favour of the bill, then why did the President’s House not sign the bill?
