Sindh reveals ambitious plans for a bullet train

Information and Transport Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Memon has revealed plans for a bullet train project linking Karachi to Sukkur.
The minister made the announcement while speaking to media stating that the project would boost foreign investments and create job opportunities, particularly for the youth.
The train service will be launched in two phases, he confirmed. βIt is part of the provincial governmentβs broader strategy to enhance connectivity within Sindh.β
He also mentioned plans to establish a plant in Karachi to produce affordable buses, which would generate employment for the local population.
Moreover, he also spoke about foreign investment, noting that Sindh has attracted the highest level of foreign investment in Pakistan.
Memon highlighted a recent meeting between the Chief Minister of Sindh and foreign investors, with a focus on creating job opportunities and fostering economic growth.
