Good news for winter lovers in Karachi

13 December, 2024 10:15

The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday forecast for Karachi dry with chilly night in the next 24 hours, while temperature may drop to 11 °C.

The Met Office said the minimum mercury level recorded during the last day was 12.4 °C.

It added the humidity level in the air was recorded at 28 per cent.

Meanwhile, Quetta and its surrounding places are experiencing overcast skies and the weather remained extremely cold and dry. The Balochistan’s northeastern districts are also under the grip of severe cold.

The drop in temperatures has been so severe that water standing on roads, streets, and drains has frozen, which has added to the difficulties faced by the citizens.

The Meteorological Department said that Balochistan’s most districts will continue to experience cold and dry conditions. It added the mountainous areas are expected to remain particularly frigid in the coming days, with no immediate relief in sight.

Meanwhile, citizens of Quetta and nearby places, including Ziarat and Kalat are also facing low gas pressure, causing significant challenges for consumers amidst the freezing temperatures.
