Government announces public holiday

On the birth anniversary of Pakistan founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 25^th December.

A notification has also been issued by the provincial government in this regard, while December 26 will also be a holiday for Christian employees in connection with Christmas.

Every year, the nation celebrates the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The day will begin with a gun salute in the federal and provincial capitals, followed by a grand change of guard ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid (Quaid-e-Azam’s tomb) in Karachi.

Events will be held across the country to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s life, political struggle and important role in the formation of Pakistan.

Apart from this, special programs will be organized by various social, political and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and forums across the country.
