Karachi mayor announces to decorate city for Champions Trophy 2025

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced plans to decorate the city ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy.
During a visit to the National Stadium, Wahab was briefed on preparations by PCB officials, who also provided updates on ongoing construction work.
The Mayor highlighted Karachi’s enthusiasm for cricket, promising that the city would provide an enthusiastic welcome to the teams during the tournament.
He confirmed that the local government would ensure the provision of essential services for the successful hosting of the event.
Reflecting on the upcoming tournament, Wahab shared his personal excitement, recalling his experience holding the Champions Trophy and expressing confidence in Pakistan’s victory.
He assured that measures would be taken to facilitate the public during the matches.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has started online registration for the Champions Trophy 2025 tickets.
The ICC has also released the long-awaited schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 after after long negotiations between the India’s Board of Control for Cricket and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The schedule was delayed as the Indian board had rejected to send its team to Pakistan while Pakistan board opposed the idea of hosting it in a hybrid format.
