Winter knocks door in Karachi; mercury drops to 16.5C at night
The mercury has dropped to a single digit due to severe cold wave and strong winds in Karachi on Monday.
According the Meteorological Department, strong winds are blowing in Karachi from today (Monday), which would drop temperature further.
The weather in Karachi city is cold and dry at the moment, with the minimum temperature has been recorded at 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to stay between 25 to 27 degrees Celsius.
The department further Weather forecasters said cold winds were blowing at a speed of 4 kilometers per hour from the north-east direction, the humidity in the air was recorded at 63 percent.
Meanwhile, hailstorm in Balochistan’s Dakki district broke a 42-year-old record, with reports of severe damage to solar plates and trees.
