Temperature to drop further in Karachi

Winter knocks door in Karachi; mercury drops to 16.5C at night
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday forecasted that temperature in Karachi will drop to single digit on weekend.
The met department said that it is due to strong winds in Karachi, the intensity of cold has increased since last night.
The mercury may go up to single digit and cold winds will also blow, it said in the forecast. “The current cold wave will continue till the end of January.”
The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.9 degrees Celsius, wind speed of 7 kilometers per hour from the northeast direction, while the humidity in the air was 35 percent.
On the other hand, the intensity of cold continues across the country, the mountains in the upper areas are covered with snow white and the temperature is still below the freezing point.
