Various parts of Pakistan once again experienced a weather shift as rains and snowfall bring a notable drop in temperature.
Federal capital, Islamabad received a light drizzle accompanied by strong winds late on Friday, bringing the mercury down in the city.
Meanwhile, Azad Kashmir’s Leepa Valley received continuous snowfall in the region. Heavy snowfall was reported in Bathwar Gali and Sher Gali.
Reports indicate that over a foot of snow has accumulated in parts of the valley, cutting off road access to the capital.
Moreover, Sarai Alamgir witnessed its first winter rain, contributing to a significant decrease in temperature.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast, cold and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country over the next 24 hours, with hilly regions expected to experience very cold conditions during the morning and night.
As the winter season intensifies, locals and authorities are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather developments.
