Supreme Court: Suspension of Civilian Trials in Military Courts
Amendments to the PECA Act have been challenged in the Supreme Court.
According to local TV, a petition has been filed by citizen Qayyum Khan against the amendments in the PECA Act, in which the amendments made in the PICA Act have been requested to be canceled.
The petitioner has requested for the formation of a full court for hearing against PICA and said that the amendments to the PICA Act are against fundamental rights, parliament does not have the power to legislate against fundamental rights.
The petitioner has said that the full court should review not only the amendments but also the original PICA Act in the context of fundamental rights, order to suspend the process of making rules by the fake assembly and the fake president.
