According to a statement issued by the Presidency, Asif Ali Zardari met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing at the Great People’s House of China and before this meeting, a reception was also held in honor of the president. The president was given a grand welcome.
During the meeting, the two presidents discussed the positive momentum of bilateral relations, the statement said, adding that regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting between the president and the Chinese president.
The two leaders also discussed opportunities to further expand the scope of the bilateral partnership and reaffirmed each other’s support on issues of fundamental interest.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to an all-weather strategic cooperation partnership with China and highlighted the unique, tested and special relationship between the two countries.
