Prince Karim’s death: Pakistan announces Day of Mourning tomorrow

The government of Pakistan has declared a day of mourning on February 8 on the death of Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community.

According to the notification, the national flag will be at half-mast across the country on February 8.

Namaz-e-Janaza of Prince Karim Aga Khan, who died in Portugal on February 4, will be held in Portugal on Saturday and his funeral will be held in Aswan, Egypt on Sunday.

Prince Karim Aga Khan was the 49th Imam of the Ismaili community, Prince Karim Aga Khan became the Imam of the Ismaili community on July 11, 1957, when he was 20 years old.

After the death of Prince Karim Aga Khan, his son Prince Rahim Aga Khan has become the 50th Imam of the Ismaili community. Prince Karim Aga Khan in his will named Prince Rahim Aga Khan as the 50th Imam of the Ismaili community.
