Karachi police issue traffic plan for Champions Trophy, tri-series

Karachi Traffic Police has released a comprehensive traffic diversion plan for the tri-nation series and the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled to begin on February 19 at the National Stadium.
The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams and a total of 15 matches, taking place from February 19 to March 9 across four venues: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the opening match on February 19 in Karachi, while the highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash is set for February 23 in Dubai.
According to traffic police, Karachi will host two matches from the tri-nation series on February 12 and 14, along with three Champions Trophy fixtures on February 19, 21, and March 1.
On match days, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for regular traffic, while designated parking for spectators will be available at the National Coaching Centre and China Ground, accessible via the underpass for visitors arriving from Karsaz, Millennium Mall, and New Town.
Heavy traffic will be permitted on Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No.10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road but restricted on Karsaz to Stadium Road, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Road to Hassan Square.
Authorities have urged citizens to plan their commutes accordingly to avoid disruptions.
