Pakistan’s ranking on corruption perception index slides 2 spots
Pakistan has dropped two places to 135 out of 180 countries on the Corruption Perception Index (CPI).
Transparency International has released the Corruption Perception Index 2024 (CPI).
Pakistan is ranked 135th out of 180 countries in this list, which was 133rd last year.
In this way, according to the current list, Pakistan has become the 46th most corrupt country in the world, while last year it was the 48th country.
Pakistan’s score in the Corruption Perception Index is also 27 out of 100, which was 25 last year.
Denmark is the country with the lowest corruption in the world, followed by Finland and Singapore.
South Sudan, Somalia and Venezuela top the list of the most corrupt countries.
Apart from Pakistan, the countries where corruption has increased include Iran, Iraq and Russia.
Transparency International says that Pakistan has declined in the Variety of Democracy project.
